Sorry for the lack of recent posts, here are a few pages from my sketchbook....
This is a quick sketch of my friend Holly. Just taken from a photo, I liked her expression...I think it's a very 'Holly' face!
I like these two sketches of Kenneth a lot, I am really happy with the style. I was just trying to develop further some of the mark making I use in some of my other drawings and I like how it turned out. I have actually drawn up a large scale drawing of the top sketch of him on grey paper. I feel this technique is definitely going somewhere...just going to keep working with it for a while and see what I end up with.
So, two drawings this afternoon, roughly A4 in size. I used black marker and a thinner ink pen to build up the lines. I was trying to get a slightly better grasp of this new style I've been trying out, I really think there is a lot can be done with it. I'm very happy with how the progress is coming but I know there is still a lot more work to be done, but at least I feel like it's definitely going somewhere! I've put them in the order in which I drew them and I think you can already see quite a difference - the second one looks much more solid.
